just saw Avatar in 3D, already saw it before in regular version, 3D is that much more epic. Would've seen IMAX 3D but that is damned expensive even if it's Avatar.

Makes me want to c it even more. T-T Or I can wait till 3D TV gets official and buy the blu ray. The PS3 supposedly supports 3D blu ray so I just need to buy a 120 hz or higher LCD TV or a Plasma.

wow... been busy these past 3 weeks!
i saw avatar at a fake imax (amc with higher quality projecter, slightly bigger screen, but not like a real imax) and it was worth the extra $2 over the regular 3d version... the movie was stunning!

well i kept my 3D glasses in case the DVD release of Avatar 3D edition gets crappy glasses (dunno if Real3D technology can be adapted for disc releases or not, i don't know enough about the technology)
i also downloaded Avatar....have yet to see the quality.

Most of the pirated versions r TS, so I'll wait for a R5 or blu ray rip. As for RealD, they are adapting it to TV. Sony, Samsung, and JVC are supposedly releasing 3D TVs this year w/ RealD. As for the glasses they might work. 3D TVs need at least a LCD of 120 hz refresh rate as each eye needs 60 hz. I don't think they'll incorporate this into the DVD version, but I'm pretty sure James Cameron would want Avatar to be seen in Blu-ray in RealD 3D instead of crappy red/blue 3D.

well i read up on how they produce the 3D effect with the Real3D technology so yeah, the TS version is semi-decent, the glasses actually help to clear up some of the blur from the recording but yeah, it doesn't generate the single-eye slowdown effect because the screen isn't sufficient enough with only 60hz across the board
well, this TS version (better in 3D version) is better than the other releases that TS has released for Avatar (i think they went through like 3 releases prior, first attempt at decent 3D release)
but yeah, i'm making decent money so i dunno if i'll get a 120hz monitor or not (like the ones that are made right now to be used with Nvidia's 3D technology). I'm kinda overdue to get a new monitor since my old flatpanel monitor is over 10 years old i think.

Ill wait till a Samsung 3D lcd tv comes out then ill just buy that and give me aunt my current ln40a550. As for 120 hz monitor i think the samsung one costs somewhere around $600 w/ the kit.

Viewsonic apparently has one under 300 bucks, not bad actually but still, i'm not gonna get a new monitor until i build a new machine.
