Eureaka 7 -Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers- |
|
Just saw this last night in theaters..... and WOW....
the biggest change.... same characters, different universe.... thus different attitudes...
the story starts of with a YOUNG (5-8 years old) Renton and Eureaka... and neirvash (spelling) in larval form?! (mookyu gets annoying) all of them on on a hill with professor dominic?!
some plot....
now you have corporal renton (14 years old) with the neirvash on the gecko....
he rescues eureaka.... the love he hasn't seen since they were kids (eureaka wasn't a killing machine)
plot.....
tons of changes.....
plot.....
Gecko members die (huge character change!!!!)
Anemone as an old woman the the n (her klf) in larval form....
ghost of dominic past..... and young anemone
Super Samurai Neirvash (how it looked) kicks some major ass...
end of movie....
there were some HUGE character and plot changes.... and it's a retelling of the story....
Animation quality was GREAT (Bones does a great job with mecha)
i would definatly pay $12.50 to watch it again.... but i kinda like the tv series plot a bit better...

well i missed the showing in NYC, i'll probably download it when it comes out but i heard from my buddies that they were totally lost for about half the movie (probably because of the major plot differences)
but yeah i agree, BONES does a good job with most of their work.

not just the plot, character's demeanors changed as well.....
my buddy went in hoping for more answers..... and well..... left wondering WTF!
but the bloopers afterwards were funny!

ok, someone at sakurahana finally uploaded the movie with subs in rmvb (i'm running a tad short on hdd space until i can find time to transfer all of my finished anime to my netbook or to my external at home)
anyway, it was still in 480p, 700mb, great quality.
the whole movie was really awkward for me since it basically flips the anime and series for that matter on it's head. I mean it really looked like an alternate universe where the textures were recycled but had different purposes plot wise in the movie than in the anime. I don't want to say that i didn't enjoy it but it was definitely more depressing than the anime which was always playing on the upbeat. I'm really not sure how to put it but it's kind of like the movie is the alter-ego to the anime. But like many movies sequeling in production to a series, it's not as good as it's predacessor (remember Fullmetal Alchemist movie, that's all i gotta say).
